I thought to myself…personally I get my engines fired up whenever I watch/read content on the internet about the success stories of others – especially when it involves an element of marketing and how I can improve.

With that being said, I felt a blog post featuring some of the best videos I personally find insightful and inspirational, might be in order.

I hope you’ll enjoy this post but most importantly I hope I could do my small part in helping anyone out there with their own inbound marketing efforts.

Remember now…inbound marketing is all about peaking interest and attracting prospects by producing quality and informative content that will engage your target audience.

The #1 spot on my list of “Most Inspirational Videos for Inbound Marketing Professionals” has got to be this mix of flash mob(ish) advertising and the incredible way it plays off our natural instinct to touch things we are most curious about. DON’T PRESS THE BIG RED BUTTON!

As one of the central keynote speakers scheduled for Inbound 2012 in Boston, MA this year, Susan Cain really knows how to put creatives in to perspective and how businesses need to learn the importance in allowing introverts the space they require to produce mind-boggling results. Brian Halligan – CEO & Co-Founder of Hubspot outlines the need for businesses to open up to the new – and more effective – way of marketing using inbound strategies over the old school outdated methods of interruptive marketing.

Robert Cialdini is one of the people I respect the most in marketing today. He is the author of such best-selling books as “Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to be Persuasive” and my personal all-time favorite marketing/copywriting book, “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion” If there is one book I could give to all my entrepreneurial friends…it would be this one.

This one made the list based on the sheer “ballsy” approach to coming up with the ideal marketing campaign for Nike and their catchphrase of “Make it Count”. Wouldn’t we all love to take an entire marketing budget and blow it traveling around the world? Come on…you know you would.

Gary Vaynerchuck is a sales mastermind who has authored many books including “The Thank You Economy” and “Crush It! Why now is the time to cash in on your passion“. He has been labeled the King of Social Media (Social Media Sommelier) and was one of the first people to max-out his friend capacity on Facebook with over 17,000 friend requests still pending. He is the ├╝ber popular host of the Thunder Show aired daily on Gary Vaynerchuck is one of the best examples of how far a driven and passionate desire will get you.

What would an inbound marketing list of top influentials be without the Prince of Print? Gary Halbert died in 2007 however his legendary copywriting lives on today – coursing through the veines of any budding or seasoned veteran copywriter alike. A true inspiration. Gary Halbert is responsible for many accolades throughout the marketing world but none more recognizable than the Coat of Arms sales letter. This letter has been said to be the most widely sent direct mail letter in history.

Really…does Will Smith need any introduction? Given his success in all areas of his wonderful life, can you blame me for including this collection of inspirational interviews with the mega-star who’s remained at the top of his game for a number of years – like a fine wine this guy just gets better with age.

I love this one in particular for it’s slant on the flash mob concept for advertising. When all the craze was flash mobbing (especially after Oprah) this came out and reinvigorated the idea of breaking us from our daily and often mundane lives – even if for a brief moment.Remember the whole concept of advertising is to seize the attention of your target market. I’ve not seen a better example than this on such a “grand” scale.

Saving the best for last…this short took the 2008 Cannes Festival by storm. With over 14.7 million views, clearly I’m not the only one who agrees. The original was in Italian however the content firm Purple Feather out of the UK translated it in to English and used it to catapult their firm to previously unseen success. Truly the catalyst to why they are where they are today.
