The Social Network

First thoughts after only having just finished the flick…flabbergasted!

What a great flick and it will most certainly go down as one of my favorite ‘hacker flicks’ of all time. The best part? I think that would have to be when Sean Parker gets busted with some underage girls doing rails off their naked bodies. That slimeball deserved everything he got. The flip side unfortunately is the fact that his 7% shares of Facebook still tally to a nifty $920 million and making him a hell of a lot better off than myself. Prick.

Anyways, more about The Social Network.

It is a film about the creation of the über popular social networking site, Facebook. Or as it was originally called, The Facebook.

Although I was siding with Zuckerberg for most of the film, about 3/4 of the way through, I started to second guess my initial opinion of the guy. Which soon came to a head when he stiffed his good buddy and co-founder of Facebook, Eduardo Saverin. That for me was too much. To knowingly partake is such a conniving act like they (Sean and Mark) did was over the top.

I myself just so happen to care about the friendships I’ve developed over the years and to do something like that to one of your best…inexcusable and not to mention extremely disloyal. However I am beginning to learn that times are changing and loyalty is largely considered “over-rated”. I however disagree.
